elderly lady
Is she of state pension age?0 -
Is she now living in a full service Universal Credit area?
Is the address she has just a postal one (ie care of) or somewhere she lives? If the latter does she have responsibility for rent?Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
She is 63/64 found living on the streets and hoping to get into a bedsit soon. The area is a UC area I think.
She has lived in NI the last 15 yrs but has just rocked up here in Wirral (don't know her personal circumstances or reason for leaving Ireland)
If she gets a bedsit and address will she be able to obtain help? Will she get help with rent even though no connection to the area?Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -

Depending on her actual date of birth she will either be eligible for Pension Credit or Universal Credit (depending on what is happening in her area) or JSA. If she gets registered with a doctor and gets a fit note she may also be eligible for ESA.
When is she entitled to a state pension? All these things are easily checked out by using google.
Where is she living now? You say she is hoping to get a bed sit soon. Is this privately rented? How she been to the council and registered as homeless?
She may need some support by visiting her local CAB or telephoning AgeUK and see if they will help.
All depends on her circumstances....... why has she come to the UK? Has she got mental health problems? How did she get to the UK? Has she family here?
Too many unanswered questions to give detailed advice, sorry.0 -

If she has a home in NI then the council will have no duty to house her0
