Yes. This is the survey which timed out, partly because their server was very slow to respond. He made an initial payment immediately, as many people (including me) had notified him of the problem; then he paid a bonus when he approved the submissions, and today he has paid another bonus, presumably something to do with quality of completion. I no longer remember the details of the original offer.

I received a bonus for that survey even though I gave up on it part way through and returned it after realising there was no way I'd be able to complete it in the time given due to the server issues.
Update - the bonus has now been removed from my account. I had no idea that was even possible.0 -
Some advice needed
I did a survey worth £2.00 i did not receive a completion code so added nocode once completed ( i kept a screenshot page of the final survey saying thank you for completing the survey). However i have received a message from the researcher saying the following "Good afternoon, and I hope this message finds you well. I am just messaging to let you know that unfortunately, due to a demographic error on my part within the survey, I cannot use your data. My sincerest apologies for this, as due to the limited funding I have I cannot pay you. Your data will be deleted from prolific and qualtrics, and will not be used anywhere. Thank you for your time and willingness to participate in my study, I appreciate it greatly. Again, my deepest apologies for the error. Best wishes."
Can the researcher do that and should i pursue as i did spend the time on it completing.0 -

Has the researcher rejected your submission or is it still awaiting review unless they reject it as far as I am aware prolific will pay you after 21 days
I would report as it is not your fault the researcher messed up
I had one this week which screened me out part way through I reported this as prolific are one of the few sites which don't allow this the researcher has now paid me a bonus.0 -

I get that if I rely on the Prolific Assistant browser add-on, rather than waiting for surveys to pop up in the Prolific Studies page itself. I guess that the add-on fails to check whether the survey is appropriate for the user to the same extent that Prolific itself does - the latter being, of course, why one is so very rarely DQed.

Thanks. It’s weird because I never get studies emailed to me but this morning I just have and I was able to click on it and complete, despite getting the ineligible message for other studies that I still have up on my screen. I guess because I was able to do this study this morning, my account can’t be banned or anything.0
