Me: What do you mean? If I felt the same way regarding the questions that were posed then surely that is what I should put. Otherwise, it is being dishonest.

Researcher: Unfortunately, I am not satisfied with the quality of the data you provided, too many same scores in one question. Could you return your submission? Thanks.

Me: It is perfectly plausible to have the same score when the questions are similar (or even if they are not). You will need to provide an example of why the "same score" is unacceptable. Otherwise I wil raise this with Prolific is you do not accept my submission without good reason.

I just had a look at my submissions and noted that this study is flagged as "returned". I did not return it and so it seems as though the researcher set it to returned. She clearly didn't want to set it to rejected as I would have complained (and also would have been notified). I didn't realise that a researcher can set a study to returned without me knowing.

I seem to be having a run of returned and rejected surveys.  I am of course questioning and pointing out the issues with the surveys which may be why they are coming to the conclusion they are reaching, but somehow, it seems as if the researchers are not preparing adequately and looking for reason not to pay.  Oh well.  Rant over.
