Previous versions of Prolific offered exactly this facility to researchers:  They could exclude previous participants by user ID.  Whether the current version still does that, I do not know but don't see why this facility would be removed.

I think some researchers are just too lazy to look through our profiles these days.  I never used to be asked my age, gender, political preference, whatever as all this information is already there.  If they can't be bothered to use Prolific as it should be used, I say let them pay for the same study twice.  It is not our responsibility to do their admin for them; we don't get paid enough, imho.
