Best study.... I was switching on laptop to take this study and in that time they approved it even though I hadn’t completed it yet (or even started!)

I've seen a few studies in the past few days that are offering less than £5/hour (not bait-and-switch, like when it says 10 minutes but actually takes 20, but when the actual quoted pay rate is under £5/hr). For example, at the end of the previous page here there's one offering £4.48/hr. I'm wondering why Prolific allows these as it is against their stated policy.

The hourly rate now changes depending on average completion time.

Oh, so I guess there are a fair number of researchers paying under the supposed minimum then? Although most of the studies fill up fairly quickly so there can't have been time to measure the average completion time by the time you get onto them, so I would think this is of dubious value.
