It's like any survey site, the surveys available to you are determined by the parameters the researcher puts in. So it is entirely down to how much your personal demographics fit those that the researcher is trying to canvas, and a bit of timing ie. how soon after it was posted that you respond.

Christ thats a very long time. Most of mine have either paid the same day, Sometimes within an hour most are the following days

Now Pinecone is a waste of time. One survey every 3 months from those lot - when I started surveying 4 years ago they were supposed to be the pinnacle of surveying - I made more from Swagbucks!
I like Qmee though, quick, easy and very frequent surveys. I dont do anything under 3p/m though.
