    quick and easy

Also had this, though I wasn't sure if we were meant to judge whether the sentences made sense ie the English was understandable or whether we were meant to comment of the logic of what the words meant or whether we found the statements believable.

I think their new restrictive security policy is very unfair. I basically only get surveys if I am at home on my Wi-Fi now.

I had a day off last week and got many surveys, having had 0 for 2 months before that. Whenever I try at home I get surveys. But I basically do not get any at work or on my phone or anywhere except home, because they seem to disallow me from doing surveys based on my internet connection.

I contacted them to complain about it and they said that it's their new policy and there is nothing I can do except access Prolific via a different internet connection.

This means Prolific has basically become pointless for me. And it's a stupid decision from them because the whole point of the internet is it is location-independent. I can access it anywhere and prove I am me using my login, so why they restrict it like this I don't know.

Sorry to go off topic briefly, but anyone know what's happened to Smodlet? She hasn't posted since the end of October and hasn't replied to a message I sent her a couple of weeks ago.

I was thinking the same thing but if you have PM ed her I can't see what else there is to do.

That's very odd- I still get surveys at home and work which obviously have different IP addresses.

How bizarre. I get Prolific surveys in all kinds of different locations - my house, all three work campusses, parents house....I am unsure how location can be a driver in any case.

I know that if your company uses a VPN then there's a fairly high chance that's what will block surveys there. I sometimes use VPNS and then I usually can't access Prolific. I asked them why and they said their security policy rules out most VPNS.
  • thanks for sharing. :)
  • I've had issues with the surveys for a few weeks aswell in work.

I have managed to get around this by bringing the I pad then reserving my place on that, once I log in the survey is then available on the works PC.
