Another difficult AI one this morning. Comparing computer generated images where an element of the image was required to have a change of colour. You compare to the on-screen swatch and try and make out whether it's been updated correctly or not. Most of them it was pretty difficult to tell in there was a difference in colour. I gave it a 1 on the difficulty scale when completed. I got paid, just waiting to see if I get a message that they're not happy with my answers!

Hope this is the right board to post on but it is Prolific related. They are sending out LOADS of quality surveys this week, paying $2.40 for about 15 minutes work, but they have to be done on a mobile. I do most of mine on a desktop but did try one of these on my phone but it said my phone was incompatible. I then realised that it requires an Android phone with Chrome Browser. Mines iphone and although i used chrome it still thought i was using Safari. Disappointed they dont seem to offer any of these for iphone users as im literally having to dismiss dozens of these at a time and I feel awful dismissing work.

I tried these on android with chrome but it still wouldn't work. Said my playback was insufficient or something

I did this one too and had a warning straight afterwards, my first warning in months, but I had floods of the video ones all through the rest of the day. I wonder if they've changed the three strikes and you're out rule. I shall have to be more selective in the future.

There was a random attention check. One of the images only had one colour block changed. Would have been easy to miss.

Yesterday I did one of the 15 minute video ones where you were meant to be assessing the visual changes to the image as requested by the prompt but there weren’t any images. Instead they just put two soundtracks on both of which were identical. I was going to return it, but then I thought out of curiosity I would carry on although I did send the researcher a message.

So I’ve had 15 minutes of identifying that the changes were equally good/bad. Fully expecting a reprimand for that one, but at the moment they’ve paid and not queried it. Be interesting to see if they do flag it up how long it takes them - I would’ve expected to have had the message by now.

This happened to me for the first time today. I have appealed this as feel I have been unfairly put on hold for reading too quickly, but what was I supposed to do!

Feeling so fed up with Prolific today. Waited an hour after my account was put on hold due to being too fast. Went into a similar study and the first page asked demographic questions, which I was obviously able to do very quickly. Then the page came up that said 'Study complete. there are no more tasks for you to work on, followed by another hour hold for speeding. This is so frustrating!!!

I don't know if it's just the time of day (mainly evening) when I can go on the site but there seems to be fewer of the more academic ones than there used to be - outside of HR stuff. I used to like the ones testing perception etc. They don't pay as well but they were interesting.

Hate the current AI ones asking you to pick the best quality video when they are both terrible.

I've just had a really poor images one where none of the prompts were complete (very obviously cut off mid-sentence). Really hard to work out which one was what the prompt wanted!
