It always takes weeks - I don't think they have anything like enough support staff.

Thanks. My first message was a few weeks ago, my second a few days ago. I thought it might be to do with the problem with my account, but if they are just a bit slow there is nothing I can do but wait I guess.MollyR said:It always takes weeks - I don't think they have anything like enough support staff.0 -
It can't be for tax reasons. I was born in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) so it came up with those place names. Been in the UK for over 50 years now.silvercar said:Just logged in to prolific and a box pops up to enter my place of birth! Needed for tax reasons according to the link. Very odd. Even more odd is that it seems to be UK place names only and some of the Welsh places are listed in Welsh and some in English.0 -
I query an unfair rejection awhile ago now. Prolific never replied. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
If you click the link in the explanation of why it needs to collect the information, it says it is for tax reasons. Maybe it is a further identifier for people with common names.Julezy101 said:

As this thread has been quiet, I just thought I'd remind those with a lack of studies to regularly update their about you page, and if that doesn't help, take a few days away from signing in and have a fresh start.1

That seems very strange, most people report a good many surveys a day!hareng said:serena9 said:regularly update their about you page, and if that doesn't help, take a few days away from signing in and have a fresh start.Makes no odds, in 2 years only had chance to attempt 3 surveys, guess what booted out.Deleted the for good leaving points behind.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Are you sure you're thinking of Prolific? It's not points based so you wouldn't leave points behind when leaving.hareng said:serena9 said:regularly update their about you page, and if that doesn't help, take a few days away from signing in and have a fresh start.Makes no odds, in 2 years only had chance to attempt 3 surveys, guess what booted out.Deleted the for good leaving points behind.1 -
Also, it is very rare to be "booted out" of a Prolific study - unless, of course, one has failed an attention check. But since Prolific offers us academic studies, not surveys, I wonder whether Hareng is thinking of a survey portal rather than actually of Prolific?
