    Plus I’d have saved a few pounds at the same time had I just sent it normally. It’s an interesting scenario though although you got a good outcome in the end reading your post
    Well, they certainly gave me the run-around... ;)

    the cheque was posted yesterday so bang on 27 days
    As I said earlier, no one could predict this, though. Well done..
  • So by the sounds of it once they receive the acceptance they put the file into a payment diary for 27/28 days ahead. Not heard off anyone who has been paid early which is a shame.

    As I said earlier, some redress is paid into the customer's account before the redress letter arrives. So it's impossible to predict. There is no "payment diary".

    Are you sure your acceptance has been received?
  • Yes I rang and they confirmed it was received on the 11th. Was told i had to be paid by 08/02. I’ll just sit and wait.

    I used to work for RBS for around 8 years within payments so I know how pressured it is

    So I’m on day 22 now. I’ve not received text or anything as yet to confirm when I will be paid the redress. I see most people receive some kind of communication as to when the transfer/cheque will be sent.

    Cheers

    My offer letter was posted 19th Jan, received on the 26th and I sent back my acceptance in the 27th.

    Spoke to RBS yesterday and they confirmed they had received my acceptance on the 30th and they would endeavour to make payment within 28 calendar days.

    Spoke to them this evening and they've confirmed that the cheque has been issued today !!!55357;!!!56832;
