Howdy!
I did not press the link. I instead went to the google homepage and signed in . There was no mention of any issues. So I assume it’s a scam .
Just thought I’d mention it .

I had a similar email the other day, which did not say what the issue was, but invited me to log in and run the Security Checkup in https://myaccount.google.com/
There was no message about an issue when I logged in (not using the links in the email), but the Security Checkup did highlight one when it was run.
EDIT: However, "resolve 1 security issue found on your computer account"doesn't sound the right wording. And besides, being cautious is wise.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I didn't click the link but when I went to log into webmail (I usually pick it up on an email client) there was the usual message about checking your phone number, alternative email etc.0

Probably a valid email but if in doubt check your Google security settings at :-

(if in doubt about this link move your mouse cursor over the link to confirm where the link will actually go).
Common security issues are 1. old Android phone hasn't been used for ages 2. you've enabled "less secure apps" to enable gmail to be accessed on non Google platforms e.g. Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail.If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
Google just want more of your personal info. Had the same emails, binned them.

Thanks folks . I went 5hrough the settings on the google page and I was told “ you’re all caught up” or similar which means everything is up to date I assume .
I’m everything Apple . I have a feeling that as mentioned above, they want more information from me .0 -
I've had the same email from them twice now. The only issue I see when logging in to the security centre is that I have given API access to Windows 10. They obviously don't like that, but it isn't really a security issue.0
