Business Credit Checking Service

Hi
I'm looking for a recommendation for a business credit checking service please.
I have been using Credit Focus for years - originally purchased via Barclays Bank at £10 plus VAT per month, following their split with Barclays at an increase of £12.50 per month & I have now just received an email increasing to £20.83 per month.
Since the changeover I have found the new website very clunky but they still provide basic credit information we need, monitoring of "watched" companies & free issue of a solicitors letter chasing debts (have to pay separately if wish to pursue further).
We maybe only use the service once a month or so for new customers & the monitoring is useful. I think I have only ever sent 4 or 5 solicitors letters.
In terms of credit information our needs are pretty basic - if they have a poor score they pay up front, pay as we go or we don't work for them. (We are not talking high levels of billing for our services).
Can anyone recommend a reliable cost effective alternative to Credit Focus? I realise that we can go pay as you go for individual checks but would like to retain the monitoring & ideally the free letter if possible.
Many thanks

I'm not sure what you get for 'watching' companies, but is there any reason not to just say that new companies pay up front, regardless, and that everyone then does pay as we go?
Then if a debt collection letter is needed you can start by doing one yourself, and if there's a debt, no more work is done?Signature removed for peace of mind0
