Hi hope someone can help me.
Around 5 years ago I got in a bit of a pickle with debts and used a payment plan through payplan to get sorted
My DMP finished in 2014 but one of the accounts, a DFS loan through Abbey is showing a balance of £11, all payments except that last one are up to date. Account hasn't been updated since then.
Not sure what to do?
Leave it or call someone? If so who, Abbey?
Many thanks for any help

Pay £11 to get rid of it seems the simplest answer.0 -
Are you sure that it was paid off? Your DMP may have ended because the others were paid, but it is possible that this £11 was missed - not unheard of. You could check and ask for a statement of payments and see if it tallies with what you paid. They will probably not do anything with an account with a low balance like that, and maybe as been said paying would mean it gets settled.0

Hi C.anne
Do you know if a default was ever registered for this debt? If it was, the debt is going to be removed from your credit file 6 years after that and the balance still showing may not be such an issue. But if there is no default you may want to get the matter resolved.
You could contact the creditor (the one showing on your credit file) and challenge the balance. You can tell them you believe it was fully paid through the DMP. If for any reason that didn't happen, it would just be a case of paying it off.
