Experian STILL Not Showing Me On Electoral Roll

Hi all,
I'm not sure if this issue has been raised in the past (I'm new to the forums, so apologies!), but I need a little help.
I applied for car finance last year, and was refused. I was told the most probable reason for this was that my Experian report didn't have me registered on the Electoral roll at my address. I contacted Experian straight away to find out why, and after several searches on several different systems, was told I wasn't showing as registered and to contact my local authority. I contacted them immediately, and confirmed I've been registered for the past 5/6 years, but they said they would send my details on again. I checked again with Experian a few weeks later and no luck, but was told it could take a little longer to update. I ended up going a different route with the car finance, so never got round to checking again, but have just signed up for Money Saving Expert's Credit Club, and, surprise surprise, I'm STILL not registered.
To add salt to the wound, I recently signed up for Clear Score, which shows that I AM registered, and have been "for a long time". This isn't a huge issue at present, but I'll be looking at getting finance in the year or so, so need it sorted!
Anyone have any advice??

Councils send their full electoral role at the end of every year to CRAs and updates during the year (frequencies vary between councils). Contact your council to confirm in writting / email your details on the roll then raise a dispute directly with Experian, providing your confirmation from the council.
Unfortunetly whilst the CRAs have to pay for ER data, some councils are problemetic with their submissions, including data quality. Whilst your council has probably sent your entry, there may be an issue matching you on the Experian database; matching is normally done via your name, address and date of birth as in the UK we don’t use a unique id for a person as other countires do e.g. social security number.0 -
I had the exact same problem, but with Equifax.
After a lot of arguing, they said they would call my local council to check, but that I also had to get my council to write me a letter confirming I was on the roll, and then I would have to send that letter to Equifax.
Couldn't be bothered so joined Experian instead who showed me registered. Annoying.0
