overpayments

Iresa has continued to make the DDs they calculated 10 months ago, until I'm £116 in credit (7 weeks).. I've asked them twice for a refund, but they haven't responded. I'm going to change supplier via Cheap Energy Club but I need to know how I can force them to repay, as they take these payments in advance.

Personally with the likes of Iresa , I would cancel the direct debits a couple of months to go in the one year fix and pay what is owed by other means and not allow them to be holding my money for months on end. They will pay it all back one day I know but I would like that day to be within a few weeks not sometime next year.
They are a very cheap supplier and one I ve been recommending to a few friends with that proviso when they want to leave. They are so happy with the rates they dont leave though.
Their rates are so good you have to accept that they offer cheaper tariffs because of much fewer overheads with just a few employees in a rented call centre and a cheap website..
If you don` t like it there is always BG who answer the phone within a few minutes usually and run a better organisation but at a cost.

£116 credit in mid Winter is an insignificant amount. If you switch, any credit will be returned once your Final Bill is raised.
