Accountant lost bank statements

If you are handing documents over to anyone, I always take a copy. Its so easy nowadays with computer technology - always buy a printer that scans or take a photo with your phone. There is always a possibility documents can be lost.
However, I would also be phoning the accountants and asking that they search their filing system in case your bank statements have been misfiled (the most obvious cause). I probably would be changing accountants after next week too.0
