Hi all
My neighbor has recently passed away, myself and her aunt cared for her for years, she had fallen out with her brother years ago, and had made this very clear, her wishes were for everything to go to her beloved aunt if she died.
The problem is, We cannot find a will....
Her brother would then be 1st in line to inherit her estate, can this be contested?
Thanks xxx

Only if she left a will.
Was the aunt financially dependent on your neighbour in any way ?0 -
I believe that local solicitors will put out a shout in the area to see if anyone is holding a will. Worth asking, in any event.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Sounds like you need to speak to a solicitor for some advice. There must be a will out there if you knew she fell out with her brother as only a will could state otherwise?
A neighbour of mine passed away a few years ago and it seemed like the house was left empty for ages. I never saw family visit her so don't know if she had any, I just hope she had someone there for her like you have been. Let's hope the will turns up! I do sometimes wonder if she ended up as a case for Heir Hunters on BBC.0
