probably the TOC due to Network Rail , I have mentioned this previously in METROLINK threads and somebody posted a list of TfGM stations, so I assume the rest are the TOC who has this franchise0

They definitely are employed by TfGM - just someone in their customer services centre not wanting to get involved, or trotting out the party line.
Their exact response was "Upon further investigation of this matter I have been informed that we are not able to appeal on a customer’s behalf as this is a conflict of interest. As Care Parking are contracted by TfGM the only way we would intervene is if you have appealed the PCN with Care Parking and you are unhappy with the outcome."
I will push for escalation when I get a response back from Care Parking.0 -
a google search shows hundreds of case , from dogs fouling to parking all coming under bylaws with TfGM
sorry bedtime , read thru this https://tfgm.com/public-transport/tram/conditions-byelaws-charter
and clearly written in the bylaw section

Quick update, following the appeal on the 24th Jan I had an automated response stating "please note that all appeals are answered no later than 35 days from receipt". Its now significantly more than 35 days and I have had no further contact. Not sure if they have given up, but I'm clearly not high on their list of priorities!0

I think I would email back and say 'where is my cancellation email then?'PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Agree with Coupon - get them to confirm the matter is closed, you don't want them filing a county court claim 5 years down the line when you've moved, and not having a chance to defend a clear win for yourself.0

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and another company have already been named and shamed, as has Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each year). They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
Hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned.
The problem has become so rampant that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Watch the video of the Second Reading in the HofC recently.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind most of these companies may well be put out of business by Christmas. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

It's 6 in England and Wales. If they did send a claim (which they won't) to a new address, you get still get the chance to defend yourself.
There is also the issue of issuing a claim based on their lack of standing. It's a byelaws location. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I know, I didn't want to write 6 and confuse OP to think it was 6 from now, not 6 from the date of incident!0 -
Just received an email back confirming that the PCN has now been cancelled.
I used the blue template with the suggested changed above and also added specific mitigation (lack of signage or makings indicating this was a no parking area) - not sure whether it was the main wording of the template or my added comments that scared them off but something clearly did the trick!
Thanks for your help everyone!0
