How to get reasonable priced tickets for El Classico in Barcelona?

Options
Anyone know? Next one is in May. Only tickets I can see cost £hundreds on reseller websites, or the official Barcelona site has VIP packages for €2k+!!

It sounds like the tickets have been sold. Hence resellers being able to ask a higher charge.

There was a recent thread that talked about getting tickets for games when they are playing less popular opponents by going to the ground on the morning of the match. This would allow you to see a game, but not el Classico unless they hold a few tickets back to sell on the day.

This is basically a case of 'how can I get in cheaper than everybody else?'.

You cant. The price is there for a reason and there are no January sales.

I suspect the set up is like with Real Madrid. Real Madrid have socios/members, then season ticket holders, then Madridistas/fan club members.

The availability of tickets is prioritised in that order. I dont know how many members there are but season tickets are hard to get hold of, and then there are around 250,000 Madridistas.

Then you have to think that some are reserved for away fans.

So basically, there is a reason that you can only get them for silly money.

For any other La Liga game at the Bernabeu, it is easy to get in.

What about Chelsea's champions league game there in March ?

I dont know. Again I am using Real Madrid as a comparative. Champions League group games that are not against a major rival are generally easy to get hold of. In the latter stages, a game against a team like Chelsea might be quite hard to get hold of on standard prices. The only way to find out is to just go online at the earliest possible opportunity. They would have already been made available to the members and fan club members.

If you have to get a hospitality package, it probably wont be as expensive as going to watch a game against Barca, not a QF tie anyway.
