Garden wall insurance how does it work

Hi all, wonder if anyone can help with this.
My garden wall got hit by a car the other week and part of it got knocked down the driver didnt stop and cannot find out who he is. So weve been intouch with our buildings and contents insurers today and they are sending someone out to access it, wondering when they replace the wall will they use the old bricks that got knocked down, or replace with new also if they replace it with new bricks it will look odd with the rest of the wall as theres a garden gate between the two walls so putting a new wall to the one side of the gate would look odd. Has anyone had any experience of this please, would love to know what to expect and to say when the insurers come out please
Thanks

The insurance co may well let you arrange rebuilding of the wall.
I would expect the old bricks to be clean and reused, if some are damaged you can usually buy 2nd hand bricks to match.
Like roof tiles there is a ready market for 2nd hand bricks especially nice looking ones.0 -
My neighbour knocked a 2mtr section of her own wall down, the quotes for new bricks came in cheaper than cleaning the old ones.
I'll let you guess which quote the ins went with . . .0 -
So if they put a new wall up would they replace the other so it would match0
