Mortgage protection policy ?? Plevin

I had a mortgage protection policy between 2001 and 2010 with standard life. I was never informed about the proportion of the premium which was commisssion. Do I have a claim case under Plevin?? Any advice appreciated.

Standard Life are a life assurance company. I am not sure they did MPPI. Could it have been income protection or life assurance (their life assurance for mortgages was called mortgage protection).

Standard life quotes have given the commission figure on them since 1995. So, your allegation doesn't seem likely.

    No
1 - Not sure you have MPPI
2 - You fall outside the plevin dates for mortgages
3 - Unless it was a Halifax case, plevin wouldnt apply anyway
4 - Std life show commissions on their quotes and you get the disclosure twice (at point of sale and again with the cancellation rights which follow in the post).
