Dual Fuel, Two Direct Debits?

Do any suppliers split the direct debits so that there is a gas direct debit and a electricity direct debit?

I am currently with Bulb and only have one direct debit for gas and electricity.

My previous suppliers (Eon, EDF, BG) also only had one direct debit.

Not as a general rule AFAIK, its usually one payment for both utilities if its dual fuel from a single supplier.

If you want two separate payments, one for gas and one for electricity, split them up between two providers.

If you buy single fuels from two different suppliers, you'll get a DD for each

It also has the adcantage that, more often than not, it'll save you money compared to a dual fuel tariff. :money:

You can have split invoicing with EDF Energy. 2 separate bills/account numbers therefore 2 separate Direct Debit mandates. There is currently no dual fuel/joint invoicing discount so it has no financial impact.

I'm with Bulb and I can't find anything cheaper going with 2 separate providers.

Why does it matter? Unless you are trying to maximise your DD's on a certain current account in order to earn the interest. In which case, a £1 charity DD is likely to be a better option than switching supplier. I can't imagine why any company would do this on dual fuel accounts, as it would double their bank processing charges.
