Refund request due to bad customer service

Wow, when did this place turn into a home for patronising know it all's on their high horses?
I hope none of you have a crap customer service experience.

Mistakes were made by them involving bookings. I was told something by a member of staff which was incorrect. Was spoken to rudely and abruptly over the phone.
But I guess the qualifies as tip-top customer service.

From what you have described it sounds they have given outstanding customer service, a credit valued for a whole year, they cannot be held responsible for a) initial time change and b) a no show, albeit you were in an accident.

All in all they have been very accommodating, if everyone did not show up for whatever reason and they had bookings and all no showers requested refunds - how do they run a business????

When I was a customer agent back in the day, it was very simple:

If you book for Saturday 20th @ 08:30 and don't show within a reasonable timeframe (about 30 mins) then it is tough luck. End of story. No refund, no change of date. ZILCH*

*Unless you were critically ill, or on your deathbed. I would give those people some leeway (or if your partner was a paramedic dealing with a major crisis, for example. That would sway me to break policy... something REALLY life-changing and critical). Your reason, without explanation, would have been dismissed outright (and we would have spent 30+ minutes on a call having a big battle!)

Before you give me stick, this was the COMPANY policy and I was merely paid to uphold this. Any exception I made was scrutinised and investigations held!

So yea, bearing that in mind I have to say that you've received good customer service here!! Hell, I wish I had been employed by this company when I was working the phones :)

    Hi all,

Is there any thing I can throw at them to help push for a refund?

Given that you've named them on here and attempted to shame them (albeit praising them instead). I'd say you've little chance of a refund. I can only imagine the staff's reaction when you return to use that credit!

Just so I can be sure I'm following along:

You made an appointment for a specific time and date.

You changed your mind at the last minute and the centre allowed you to reschedule for a day later at no extra charge.

    You missed the rescheduled appointment.

The centre were STILL willing to allow you to reschedule for later that day. By this time you were only 10 miles or so away.

Rather than taking the opportunity for a day out before going to your THIRD alloted time, you decided to drive another 60 miles back home.

And it's the centre that's in the wrong?
