    There are hundreds (if not thousands) of other routes from National Rail station to National Rail station where a cross London Underground transfer is included without a Travelcard being necessary or included.
    Yes, I should have explained better. As he didn't want to start his return journey at New Barnet, he will have to pay extra to get to his starting point. If he thinks he's going to get in anywhere on the tube network with a national rail ticket he is wrong.
