I have two Motorola smartphones - a Moto G5 and a Moto G3. Both have mobile data and tethering is included in the contract. When I try to connect the G5, it works fine and I can browse without any difficulty but when I try to connect the G3, my devices can see it but won't connect to the internet.
The only difference I can see is that the G5 has a choice of the 5Ghz or the 2.4Ghz bands but the G3 only offers the 2.4 Ghz band.
Help!

So to be clear, your devices will connect to the hotspot but wont browse to the internet ?0

Correct. The 2.4ghz shouldn't be the issue as I have no close neighbours.0

Are you sure the 2.4ghz is switched on? Whats your devices IP address?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Did you try working around the security options, choosing something other than WPA2, perhaps that could work? Or else you could try this change the APN type by keying DUN in your access point names under mobile networks under more settings.0
