Little help required

Hi all.

I have already claimed on PPI but was called by the company who I claimed with saying I may be able to reclaim based on a new ruling. This sounds too good to be true can anyone advise??

If you've already received a full refund of your PPI, then there is no more to refund regardless of any (Plevin?) Ruling.

If your original complaint failed, however, ignore the Claim Company and make a complaint about possible undisclosed commission yourself..

  • Similar question, last year I used a reclaim company for ppi, although they found PPI on an old mortgage the company said it's want mis-sold and the ombudsman aged with the bank.
Can I claim Plevin and if so do I have to go through the claims company or do it myself ?
  • Don't do anything via a Claim Company...
  • Is that ok to do even through I've used them before.
I would prefer to do it myself but wouldn't like to think that they would come chasing their percentage on the Plevin claim.

What date did you buy the mortgage?
Did you buy the MPPI at the same time?
Did you use a broker/adviser or the lenders own product?

Mortgages have different criteria under Plevin compared to loans and credit cards. Dates and distribution channel being the key things.
