Mortgage Interest Payment deducted from JSA?

Having been on JSA for >39 weeks, I applied for Support for Mortgage Interest Payment. Today, I received two letters, dated the same day. The first one said that my JSA, that used to be £73.10 a week is now £107.66 a week. Yay, I thought, until I saw the second letter, which states that my Support for Mortgage Interest Payments is £100.39, and this is taken off my JSA.
Does this really mean what it says, that I'll get £107.66 but they'll send £100.39 straight to my lender, leaving me with £7.27 a week to live on and pay my bills?
Or are they trying to say, but failing, that my JSA has been increased to £107.66 (possibly due to service charge?) and on top of that they'll also pay my lender another £100.39 directly to go towards the interest on my mortgage?

I can't help with your questions but i can tell you that SMI finishes on 5th April 2018. This is being replaced by a loan that will need to be repaid when the house is sold.0

Depends on benefit situation. If you get another qualifying benefit
Your SMI will be paid as a benefit if you get another qualifying benefit before 7 July 2017. You must have been getting the benefit for 39 consecutive weeks.
It will be paid as a loan if you get the qualifying benefit on or after 7 July 2017.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
