Selling silver

Hi,
Sorry if this isn’t the right place to put this. I’m looking to sell my sterling silver men’s chain. It weighs 91 g. I’ve been offered £21 from a website to buy it. Does anybody have any idea if this is the best way to sell it or am I getting shortchanged.?
Thanks

Get a couple of valuations, including one from a local jeweller if possible, to give you an idea of who is offering the best price.0

The approximate buying price for small quantities of scrap Sterling silver is about 25p to 26p per gram so yours is worth around £22 to £23.
You may get more selling it as a piece of jewellery on ebay but then again you may not.0 -
That's scrap value which will always be way lower than retail. How about trying to sell it on a local Facebook selling group?:hello:0

If it’s pretty you could get more if you aren’t in a hurry.0

Thanks all for the replies. Its showing some signs of wear and tear so i'd be suprised if somebody on facebook wanted it but i guess it couldn't hurt to try.0
