Housing benefit question

Options
Hello, during mid December I got a payrise, I informed housing straight away of the change. They request letter from employer and my December and January payslips.

I sent them the December payslip when I got this which showed my old salary along with the letter confirming my new yearly salary. I got my January payslip today but as I did some overtime and got some back pay due to the payrise coming mid month the months income is higher.

My question is, how do housing do this, because my pay in Feb onwards will be as per the letter confirming my salary. Do housing do it for this month period and then will adjust for Feb so this month's payment will be lower then increase for Feb, or will they just take my letter salary per year and divide by 12?

Thanks,

Chris

if your income changes month by month then you'll probably be asked to provide payslips each month.

When you do overttime youll have to inform them

All you need to do is tell them immediately, or you will be subject to overpayment recovery... and they will enforce this....
