Northern rock PPI

Hi I recently found out that I have been paying PPI ON MY Northern rock mortgage and loans for 12 years, I have started the process of claiming it back but what I need to know is I have been over paying on my mortgage for the last 7 years and if I had not been ms sold the PPI I would have payed that amount off my mortgage each month, should I complain about this as well?

No you’ll not get any joy on a speculative scenario that you may have used the extra funds to pay towards the mortgage. But bearing in mind if you are successful with your PPI claim, the 8% interest will likely outweigh any interest you would have been charged on the amount you might have paid had you not had the policy so you would not have lost anything.

And what is the problem with that? (apart from the fact you dont know your finances)?

If you complain about the MPPI and they agree, then they refund the premiums. So, it makes absolutely no difference if you have been overpaying or not.

Most NR mortgages were put in place by brokers. NRAM has no liability for the sale of any insurance product put in place by the broker. Did you use NR or a broker/adviser?
