    Another amazing (even to me) example of the exposure eBay offers is that our Samsung "American style" fridge freezer recently broke down last year due to a problem with the compressor / refrigerant system.

    Before the guys came in the van to scrap the chassis I took out all the shelves, drawers and trays (including the ice maker components) and have been selling them individually on eBay over the last 6 months.

    So far from second hand innards from one 5 year old fridge with an RRP of about £1100 I have managed to make over £440, and I estimate I still have about £150-200 worth of components left.

    The parts have sold to people all over the UK, but I have also sold the internal wine rack holder for £40 to Gibraltar, a milk shelf went to an well known fashion brand factory in France, and the ice storage bucket sold for £49.50 with a shipping address of St Tropez! :rotfl:
    • The rich buy assets.
    • The poor only have expenses.
    • The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.

    That is seriously impressive. I hang my head in shame.....our side by side died a few years ago, I gave the delivery guys some cash to take the old one away in it's entirety. :o
