Offshore Accounts - Help!

Hi,
I need to open an offshore bank account that isn't affected by the EU Directive.
It will be a personal account and I want to be able to open it without visiting the country it is held in. I will need to make monthly transfers into the account from the UK and will need a cashpoint card to remove money from it.
Advice and information desperately needed. Thanks.

Wiki lists the offshore banking centres.

I assume that you are not doing anything illegal, or considering doing so, since I do not want to be seen as aiding and abetting any illegal activity.
BTW, if you are looking to open an account an offshore account you may have to provide a large opening deposit. Possibly US$50k+.
I very much doubt whether you will be able to get a debit card from a bank outside the EU/Switzerland, although depending on the account, a credit card may be possible. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
