Switching mule account

Inspired by the advice on my last MSE email I'm looking to open more than one account as I currently have all my money in one current account. I'm currently with Santander which made sense as I could earn 3% on up to £20,000, obviously that hasn't been on offer for a while.
Anyway....assuming I can find a suitable account to switch this to I would like to open a second account from scratch to act as a switching mule account, which I can then switch from to gain the benefits available.
Which account would act best for this or is it totally equal since I intend to switch it soon.
Any help you can offer to someone who feels completely at sea with it all would be gratefully received!!!!!!

You can probably open a Santander Everyday account online in minutes, and administer it along with your 123 online banking. Hang on to the debit card they will send you even if you never use it, or write down the long number, because you will need to enter this during the CASS switching process.Evolution, not revolution0

As YorkshireBoy says... but don't call it a "mule" account, despite what the MSE email says. The term 'mule' has a rather negative connotation when it comes to money.
A mule account is an account used by drug dealers or money launderers.
MSE using it is a classic example of someone using slang in order to appear "down with the kids" and getting it utterly wrong.
