Talking of John Lewis

Bought an electrical item and on the receipt it’s says the warranty start date is X. Thing is, that date is 3 weeks before I receive the item which is being delivered by the manufacturer.
Do I need to point this out to John Lewis?

Warranty normally starts from date of purchase.0

I'd point this out to John Lewis, 3 weeks is a lot of warranty to lose. Not all retailers start their warranty from the purchase date some start from delivery.0

I would hope it was date of delivery.
I have just ordered a bed from JL with a 6 to 10 week wait before delivery0 -
Don't JL offer offer an extra year's warranty on electrical goods?
As a warranty is in addition to your statutory rights, there is nothing, other than JL's and the manufacturer's terms, that forces a warranty to start on a particular date.
Looks like you may only get an extra 49 weeks.
You need to decide if that's worth worrying about.0
