Wireless door alert

I'm trying to find something that will alert me when my front door is opened by someone going out. I don't want a loud sounder like a burglar alarm, but all I can find is door contacts that are connected to an existing burglar alarm system that I don't have or need.

Any ideas?

Search for door chime, you will find others. If you want to buy one in a shop then maybe maplins.

The problem is I need the sounder to be in another room, hence wireless.

You can get them as ad-ons to other systems. Hive do one.

I have a drive alert system that uses a sensor at the side. It wirelessly connects to a sounder that plugs into a socket

No reason you could not set the sensor next to your front door

I really need an alert for when the door is opened. This link seems to pick anyone up passing.

I have a wireless door bell and these seem pretty similar, the sensor in this case is a magnetic strip which sends the signal to the bell when the components are parted.

I'm sure there are cheaper models than the above.
