My Dell inspiron Zino hd's graphic card has now failed and it is looking difficult to find a replacement card in the UK, at some point I will have to replace my pc.
I no longer wish to use a full size desktop footprint, for work we use laptops with external monitors and keyboards.
For my 500 quid budget I'm looking at the Optiplex 3050 series or a laptop for everyday use usually the usual web browsing, online chess and youtube/adult entertainment sites
At present I'm having to use my old HP Mini netbook, and when it comes to graphics buffering it really shows.
Any suggestions in branded PC's/laptops.
Oh I am dual screen working vga/hdmi.

Generally I would say do not let one vga/hdmi port totally rule your decision. You do get usb2/3 display converters that allow multiple monitors on a pc/laptop
at work we have the older versions of these and they clip on the back of the monitor http://store.hp.com/us/en/mdp/business-solutions/elitedesk-800-mini#tab=features
these hp boxes are very roughly 20cm square, not much grunt for my usage.0
