Paying Credit Card by multiple DD?
Options

Is it possible to set up more than one DD from two different banks, to pay off a Credit Card monthly in full?
Example: Bank 1 pays a constant £5pm by DD, then Bank 2 pays remainder pm by DD. I'm assuming I will always have a monthly CC bill greater than £5.
Any one already doing this?
TIA

Not on my card, the only options are to amend or cancel. No option to add an additional DD.
I'm yet to hear of any card allowing it.0 -

No it would not work and your request makes no sense.
If you could do it what if they both take the full amount? .. or what if neither takes any amount?.. who would you blame??0 -
You could, I suppose, do a combination of SO and DD, if you really wanted to pay in from more than one source. But for the purpose of inflating the number of active DDs? Nice try, but as Jones mentioned above that would be open to all kinds of conflicting payments.: )0

You have pretty much been thinking along the same lines as I have. So if we can't pay the monthly charge from 2 different bank accounts how do I pay a Nationwide credit card by direct debit from a Bank of Scotland account in full each month. This would get me one extra direct debit on Bank of Scotland. I went to their site and it asks for the sort code and bank account but Nationwide don't have this info on their credit cards, presumably because they are a Building Society still. Any one do this?0

Yes, I am confused.
I have phoned gas, council tax etc and the companies themselves have moved my dd's to come from BOS so you are quite right.... Duh, thanks. The Nationwide Credit card is in Husband's name so I have just sent them a message to ask to put me on as a second account user. It's much easier if I have my name on things as when they need to ask husband questions before they can speak to me we both lose the will to live.
He would have all our savings in a bank account with a passbook and no interest coming in for ease of use. I really am fairly money savvy but I did get confused about who needed to set up this dd because it's a credit card with a different bank paying it off. Our other cards are paid from accounts at the same banks.
I won't have enough dd's when Tesco pull the plug so some accounts will have to close.
Halifax at £3 per month reward is much less than Bank of Scotland's monthly interest on several £5,000 accounts so I am trying to utilise them rather than the Halifax.
Thanks Yorkshire boy.0 -

I did say ...... if Bank 1 pays a constant £5pm by DD, then Bank 2 pays remainder pm by DD. My idea was to set up the 1st DD to always pay £5 on a fixed day of the month and the 2nd DD paid the rest later.
I know this was a long shot ....... but here was the place to ask if it was feasible!
And ....... I wouldn't blame anyone .... I'd just deal with it :cool2:0 -

.
One way might be to have several credit cards- say 4. pay out a small amount on each every month and set up DD for each.- that would give you 4x DDs
Park savings club (or whatever it's called)
Several on-line savers- not paying a great rate- but still helping the current a/cs to earn too
Pay water and council tax by DD- 12 installments
oh, and there are more......Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
