Tesco cc PPI should I try

I'm looking for some advice on an old Tesco credit card I had late 90s and whether I should make a PPI claim

I am not sure if I had PPI but do have the old card number to get them to check. I imagine I did as I also have on going complaints with bos rbs & mbna for the same time

I am only querying as I defaulted on the Tesco card (young stupid...ran up debts) and this was passed around several dca which I was paying back money to. The account is with Robinson way now and approx a year ago after reading up on here I asked them for a copy of my original cca and despite a couple of holding letters they still haven't provided me with this and have not asked for any money. The balance with them is about £900

If I start a PPI complaint will this reactivate the account with them?

I don't know if Tesco has my old records still and can even check if I had PPI?

In addition I sorted myself out once my credit record was clear and I have a new cc account with Tesco now with a more reasonable balance

I understand any PPI I get back would go on the old account with Robinson way is this correct?

You've asked them to prove the debt with a CCA. They can't find one which means they can't take you to court for it.

I would ask on the debt free board what constitutes acknowledgement of debt, but as above, if you did complain, any monies outstanding, whether from interest not added, default amounts or arreas, will be taken off first.
