I wonder how many sub 23 year olds you know that have a mortgage on a house?

Well according to that 3 year old report 10% of 16-24 years olds were able to buy their own home which isn't an insignificant number. Then if you take into account the fact that 16 and 17 year olds don't have access to credit and therefore mortgages the figure is probably somewhat higher.0 -

It very much depends where you are in the country. London and the South East skew the figures but elsewhere in England it is perfectly possible for people under 30 to buy their own home.0 -
