I have just aquired a freeview box and was looking for info on 2 to 1 scart leads etc. However having read earlier posts, I am now somewhat confused. Can I use the dvd and feeview at the same time? Can I record from freeview onto dvd? Can anyone help?

Are you meaning a DVD recorder or player? Depends on yoursetup and DVD recorder, technically you could record from Freeview whilst watching a DVD but would probably require a HD Recorder or DVD-RAM recorder at least.

I have a hard drive recordable dvd! Does that help?

I am a complete novice about this! If the scart device is 'switchable' does that mean I have to physically flick a switch if I want to use the video instead of the dvd, or dvd instead of the digi box? Sorry question may seem basic but cannot understand the switching principle. I just want to connect everything and use them as and when without the inconvenience of 'switching'. Is this possible?

Sorry to keep adding the questions, but another one springs to mind. I have many, many disney videos bought for my daughter, which I would now like to transfer to recordable dvd as I want to discontinue using the video. These are for our own use only. Is it possible that a multiway scart could incorporate the facility to record these copy protected videos?
