I would always go for stone over decking. We have a roughly 20cm drop from bifolds to patio and I built a simple step with bricks and paving slabs, which does the job nicely.0

Hi - I had a step down of probably close to 30cm from the bifolds to the unfinished ground outside, so I built a raised deck using Plastic Composite decking to get a level walk through from the inside of the house on to the deck, and then finished the grass flush to that height too.0
