CR Smith Double Glazing ppi - What company?

Total long shot. In 1991/92 I took out finance for double glazing over 10 years, the installer was CR Smith. I had PPI on it. I was made redundant and they refused to pay out I ended up 3 mnths in arrears but then caught up and the loan was paid off in 2002/03 or arround then. I would like to now claim as the insurance sold was not fit for purpose IMO the problem in I cannot for the life of me remember the lender name after some brain issues. I paid by cheque so no old statements to look back on the check the name.
CR Smith say they do not hold records so cannot help me
I know it is a big ask but did anyone here have double glazing loans around the same time who could possible tell me the lender names to see if something rings a dim and distant bell.

It is a very long shot without paperwork or the company name after 15 years.

CR Smith are the credit broker they sold you the product with PPI, they are the ones you make a claim for mis sell to.
They will have used a lender but it is down to CR Smith Glazing.

As this was before Jan 2005, they would not have been regulated anyway so you have no recourse, even with paperwork.
