Google Linking to !!!!!! etc

i've obviously got some nasties on my computer because whenever i do search in google it links to something called 22tek or shedalight or stopzilla and pop ups come up

use firefox

run superantispyware
avg spyware
avg

none of the above find anything

anyone any ideas

Did you run them in safe mode? Also have you run hijackthis and checked the log (something similar happened to me quite a few years ago, I could only find and remove the problem through hijackthis)?

I'm glad to hear it apparently worked but a quick glance down your log indicates two things striaght away ...

1. your java is way out of date (you need to update it to version 3) and

2. There are UXB left overs from other infections which could turn round and bite you if left untreated.

As you have apparently taken some steps to fix things from the Spybot forums please post a fresh HJT log and an update on how the computer is behaving now.

We'll see what else needs removing before it causes more trouble,
