Lloyds new overdraft fees, still charging me old fees on top??

Options
Hi,
I have a classic current account with lloyds with a £200 overdraft limit which I go into regularly almost up to the limit. The charge was £6 monthly plus interest. Then lloyds brought in their new charges which should be a daily fee when you're overdrawn but no monthly fee.
I'm being charged both. A few pence each day plus a monthly £6 fee plus a monthly interest of around a pound. It's an agreed overdraft.
Is this correct? It's been like this for a couple of months now so it's not the crossover month.
I'm scared to contact lloyds because the overdraft facility was set up when I was working and I've spent the last 8 years on disability benefits so I'm worried they'd just cancel my overdraft and leave me with no money for a while.

I think the fact that the old charges were a month in arrears meant that there were effectively two crossover months (November and December), but if double-charging has continued into January then that would suggest something is awry. If the charges aren't clearly explained on your statements then either post more details on here or contact them - there's no need to be scared, as they'd be able to see the state of your finances already so simply asking for clarification of charges shouldn't cause any issues....
  • What dates have you been charged £6 on?
  • Thanks for the advice. I've spoken to lloyds and the January charge was an error which they've refunded. Looks like my overdraft will be a lot cheaper now but I'm going to work at getting rid of it by the end of the year
