If everyone appeals and gets tickets overturned it soon becomes uneconomic to ticket the staff.

Each POPLA appeal costs the ppc circa £30. Lose that on each and every ticket and it becomes expensive. They move on to easy targets.

Because they speak to HR, managers, etc and get given completely wrong advice. Plus when you get given a ticket every time you go into the car park, you kinda give up. There needs to be a more permanent solution to this, tbh.

But in the meantime Ill take up your advice for any future windscreen tickets.
Is there a way to make sure everyone knows how to appeal, it being so simple?

I agree about the permanent solution being needed though.

I would have resigned by now, I'd always walk away from aggressive litigious gits, life is too short. Even for a job, it's not worth the aggro.

Exactly, CP Plus have lost POPLA appeals already for these Meadowhall PCN's. They know they can't win at POPLA due to their non compliant NTK's, that's why they now seem to be refusing to offer POPLA codes and the chance for the keeper to go to them for an impartial appeals service.

The refusal by CP Plus to offer the POPLA service after they have rejected an initial appeal, breaches the BPA's Code of practice and therefore their KADOE agreement with the DVLA, which requires them to adhere to the COP.
  • Can someone explain to me why you need to wait until day 26? Im not sure I follow.

Ill try to see if theres a way to get everyone on board with the appeal process, but aside from word of mouth Im not sure there would be.

They get a keeper appeal, and reject it. Forgetting that to hold the keeper liable they still need to send out the NtK.

And formally request the keeper's data from the DVLA. So you make sure the keeper's name and postal address is included in the initial appeal at day 26, the PPC thinking there's no need to get the details then from the DVLA.

But - no DVLA contact by the PPC, no Keeper Liability. Simples!

  • Pulling together evidence now that CP Plus and Meadowhall have failed to make reasonable adjustments for mother.
Her manager delivered the letter from mothers GP on her behalf to CP Plus, who dismissed it, and she (manager) will write a statement to confirm this. So we will have proof that they were aware of her condition, and the request from her doctor to make reasonable adjustments on for her.

Im trying to establish who the best person to contact is as the landowner of Meadowhall, and how to get in touch with them too. Maybe Darren Pearce as above, is the best person to involve in this.

I wonder if theres sufficient grounds to counterclaim too.

If its a breach of the Equality Act 2010, then as long as the defence has not been submitted then a counterclaim would be possible.

I have had email from MP Gill Furniss stating Meadowhall IS NOT in her constituency. I also emailed my own MP Clive Betts and he replied yesterday stating he will act on our behalf. Not sure exactly what that involves but it's a start.
We received info from DVLA yesterday that we requested regarding the frequency that CP Plus asked for keeper details. 9 alleged offences were requested from between 70 odd days up to 114 days after the windscreen ticket!!
