I'm not sure that's necessarily the case. It may just be part of their 'normal' process for anyone off sick for an extended period.If OH has asked to write to the consultant, it means that they are already having suspicions about what she's told them. Otherwise, they wouldn't bother. So either way, she's doomed. She says no you can't and they will draw the conclusion they are already suspecting, she agrees and they'll have the evidence they are looking for.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
That would certainly be the case for most of our employers. Unless the absence is "obvious" - by that I mean that there is no realistic chance the person could work in any capacity at any time, they would ask for medical reports. However, unfortunately it doesn't matter, since the chances of them finding out that they have been told something that isn't true are high, whichever is the case.I'm not sure that's necessarily the case.
