Ltd Company Card - Account Name?

Hi I am sole director of a limited company.
I have received my company account card.

However the card is in just my name and doesn’t have the company name on the card. Is this right?

When I go onto online banking, it doesn’t give account holder name or have statements yet as it’s brand new account , simply has my details in ‘personal details’ section and the account number and sort code along with ‘business current account’ title on the account page.

The account was set up under the limited company and had to give my company registration number and name etc.
It was not set up as self employed or sole trader.

This is pretty common on business accounts now, it's meant to be more secure as it's only you using it for transactions rather than any authorised person (though in practicality doesn't make any difference!).

My old business card had my name & the business name on it. The new one has just my name.

When taking card payments I have found that some also just have the Company name shown on them.

Not sure if it depends on the individual card issuer.

    Looks like you are fine.
You've got to be in it to win it!

My experience is that although the business card shows both my name and the company's name, if I try to use the company's name as well as my own when buying stuff online, it all goes wrong ...

And the business name is shown by my choice: when I complete the application form I can ask for 'person's name' or for 'person's name, company name' to be shown on the card. I go for company name as well so that there is never any chance of 'accidentally' using the business card for personal use - it's a disciplinary offence.

I think the idea is that if you issue a card just in the company name, how do you sign that or have a secret PIN if it's shared. Having it just in the person's name makes it pretty explicit who is responsible for any transaction.
