Halifax total mortgage protection plan

Hello. I took out Halifax's total mortgage protection plan in 2007. The bank clerk was really insistent that I took this insurance out. I claimed back the ppi years later.
To my horror they are still taking out money out of my account four years down the line I don't know what for. Is ppi the same as critical illness. Can I still claim for this.

The TMPP is a multi-segment insurance plan. It can cover life assurance, critical illness cover, MPPI and I think income protection. You can have one of those, all of them or a combination.

When you complained, they probably cancelled the MPPI segment. As you didnt ask to cancel anything else, they correctly kept the other things going.

And as zx81 says above, CI is not even close to PPI.
