Possible Pension Credit Overpayment

Skippy13, don't go beating yourself up about providing incomplete information. I've been through the situation of being sole executor and it is stressful. That's why I handed it over to a solicitor, and the estate I was responsible for was comparatively straightforward as I was also the sole beneficiary.0

Thank you. I'm the sole beneficiary as well so at least that bit is straightforward. The solicitor suggested I do as much as I could myself to keep the costs down and, to be honest, I didn't mind as it gave me something to focus on. That was until the DWP appeared! I'm currently worrying I might be handing over my entire inheritance as Mum seemed to be getting a lot more than any of the calculators say she was entitled to!0

Obviously I need to be patient as I don't know the full details (so I'm probably putting the wrong info in the calculator!) but it's not easy!0

I thought I'd update the thread. I phoned the DWP today to see if there was any news about their investigation and was told that I'll be receiving a letter shortly (their shortly and mine are a bit different!) confirming that everything was correctly declared, there was no overpayment and they have no interest in Mum's estate. I want to see the letter before I really believe it but it's a huge weight off my mind.
Thank you to everyone for your advice on this thread0 -
Well I'm still waiting for the letter! I chased it up last week and was told it would be reissued and, as there was still no sign of it today, I chased again. It looks as though the box to generate a letter wasn't ticked so I'm waiting for 3 to arrive in one go now!0
