Savings acct with Standing orders?

I'm not sure why it couldn't be a current account but if it has to be a savings account, Yorkshire BS do one which supports SOs: https://www.ybs.co.uk/savings/easy-access/cash-transactor.html0

2 x BOS current accounts would be my suggestion. This would give 2% interest on up to £10K.
Each would require 2 x DDs. There's also a £1,000/month pay in requirement that can be satisfied by a SO each way between the 2 BOS accounts.0 -
I know this is an old thread, but RCI Bank allow standing orders to be paid from their Freedom Savings Account (currently paying 1.3%). All payments to and from need to be from your linked current account, but this shouldn't be a problem in michaelmorris circumstances, as I use mine in the same way as he wants to use his.0
